Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

To say fishing hasn't been the best in five or six years is an understatement. With big trout and lot's of keeper trout coming into the boat on a daily basis, that's jus the tip of the iceberg. This fish, along with most of the trout we are catching, was caught on a big juicy ly, freelined over a hole.

Like I said, a lot of keeper trout are caught on the boat as was caught by this young man, Jordan Brinkley. Unfortunately we all lose some really big trout this time of the year. I know lot's of great trout holes, after all, that is my specialty.

Spanish fishing is still hot. That will not change until December...yes, most people don't realize that there are a lot of big spanish in the bay through Thanksgiving and into December. Justice Mace and his dad Charles joined long time client Ray Mallory for a trip to the whistle buoy a few days ago. Big spanish and lot's of kings where the story. I love to king fish and will readily take a group of two or three out to catch some "smokers".

I also have a couple of clients that will readily split trips with a single that is town and wants to do a little fishing. Give me a call and I will set it up.
That kind of wraps it up for this session. Look back on my previous reports to see what I've been doing on the boat. I try and post every week or so which means my pictures are recent.
