Panama City Beach Sheepshead Bite!

Capt. Jason Giles
April 1, 2010
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

For the last week, it has been a pretty sick bite. The bite has been so heavy that I have not had time to take pictures...my return clients understand. Myself and a handfull of other full time guides have been crushing the sheepshead. There are still a few reds around our pass. If you want action, early morning. The bite on sheepshead is great on light tackle this time of the year. Any age will have fun and be very busy! Click to Enlarge Photo

Well here's one for you. I recently had someone clients call me and ask why I am more exspensive than other guides. Here is a quick breakdown: A lot of new people are trying to get in the business. Some are trying to live out some kind of dream, others are just trying to undercut every reputable guide in the area and just to run trips. I have been talking with the guides that I see EVERYDAY and our prices are all on the same page. I know the economy affects every one...Call around for sure! Call the local Tackle Shops in Panama City Beach area and ask if they know who you are thinking of fishing with. Just be sure you are getting a quality guide! The last thing you want is a boat ride for a fishing trip. Just do your homework. If you get a guide in Panama City Beach that sounds to good to be true, think twice. Hope you all have a good fishing!

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Sheepshead in St. Andrews pass on fire. Cobia on the beaches. Grouper opened today, haven't been but heard good things.

Target Species:

Panama City Beach Sheepshead.
