Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report
I would like to start this report by saying thanks to Eddie and Michelle for another successful fishing trip, good job guys!!!!!
When we met at the boat ramp I noticed Michelle was carrying something I was not accustom to seeing on my fishing trips... "A BOOK"!
After questioning her about it, she informed me that she thought she would get caught up on some reading. I laughed and explained to her that there would be no reading on this trip... only fishing!!
We left the boat ramp with pinfish and pigfish in the tank, but couldn't help to stop and throw in a few big menhaden as well. When we reached the first fishing place I threw out three net fulls of menhaden just to see what would happen?Before I could get the first bait on the hook, we had trout blowing up on the loose baits 360 degrees around the boat. Eddie's first bait that hit the water was immediately blown out of the water about three feet , and it was game on for the next two hours.
We boated 18 trout in the 18 to 23 inch range with the largest one being caught by Michelle, measuring 25 1/2 inches.
We also had a pesky 4' blacktip shark that swam around and around the boat the entire trip. He did manage to get three of our hooks though, and each time, he did give us quite the acrobatic display! Our trip was cut a little bit short by a thunderstorm, but was an overall great fishing trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
