Panhandle - Panama City, West Bay & Port St. Joe

Capt. Rob Womble

Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

For the last two weeks I have been down in Key West Florida on a working vacation. A good friend of mine Ronnie Lawson and I had to go down there for some dive training so we decided to hook-up my boat to the truck and drag it down there with us. I’m glad we did because we had two weeks of awesome fishing. Now I can’t tell you what hotel to stay at or what restaurant to eat at because every available second we had we were in the boat catching fish. I’m not going take up a lot of time with a fishing report because I have a lot of pictures. I will get back to our local fishing on next week’s report. Just know Capt. Todd Jones is reporting good numbers of redfish and trout in our local waters.

My Snook.

Ronnie's Snook.

Couple nice juvenile Tarpon.

Did some diving for Lobster too.

We did manage to hook some larger Taorpon but we were unable to pull them away from the pier. All in all the trip was great. I would recommend Key West fishing to anyone. You need to try it at least once. As always good luck on the water. Capt.Rob Womble & Capt. Todd Jones.
