Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Panama City/NW Florida
WINTER SPECIAL: BOOK A HALF DAY AND GET THE NEXT DAY AT HALF PRICE. GOOD THRU MARCH 15TH 2008
Fishing around the bay has been great. Yesterday I took a client to the steam plan canal/Warren Bayou and caught a bunch of nice trout. He lost a good red just outside of the poles. After that we left and went out to the big bay catching winter blues on six pound test just about every cast. We then went to one of my winter hot spots for trout, catching some nice fish, releasing them all. Sorry no pictures from that spot, to recognizable.
I expect the fishing to continue as with a better than average winter. Remember, nobody fishes much in February which is a great time to come down and catch a big trout. They have to be released but we can take a picture of that eight pound fish you have always wanted.
DUCK HUNTING
There have been more ducks this year than the last few years. Still not up to the numbers of the mid to late 90's, but good. We have taken many different species this year such as godeneyes, pintails, gadwalls, bluebills and redheads. The cold push of today should drive a bunch of birds in our direction. I can do both morning and afternoon bay hunts this time of year. Just give me a call and we will see about getting you on the boat.
I'm going to sell my duck boat at the end of season....so...if anyone is looking for a 17' boat with a 40hp yamaha electric start and trailer....$3000 is the price.
Hope everyone has a great new year, mine has started out wonderfully.
Good luck and see you on the water.
