Fishing Report for Pensacola Beach 03-19-19

Capt. Zack Strickland
March 19, 2019
Pensacola - Saltwater Fishing Report

Spring has sprung in Pensacola and the fishing is heating up! We mostly fished inshore this week with the high wind advisories but the fish still bit really well! We mainly focused on sheepshead this week. They are staging up for their spawn and are starting to feed really well. Most of these fish were caught on live shrimp and fiddler crabs. We also caught a few on sand fleas as well. The best rig we used was a rig that bird of prey have come out with that is a hook attached to the weight. We caught 80% of our fish on these rigs and they work flawlessly. We also are still catching redfish as well. We got in to a good school the other day with the biggest fish right at 20 pounds! Y'all be sure to check out the Facebook page to keep up to date information on what we are catching!

Thanks and Good Luck,
Captain Zack Strickland
