Pensacola - Saltwater Fishing Report
The first week of July is in the books and was it ever a good start to the month. Over the past 10 days, I've been on the flats chasing specks, reds and all the other species that inhabit our inland waters. My last few trips have been especially fun. Some have been regular inshore fishing trips and a few have been teaching trips for kids to introduce them to fishing using light tackle, which is perfect for kids. These trips are enormously entertaining just watching the kids learn how to use the tackle, properly set the hook, work the baits, fight the fish, and ultimately catch the fish. On (7-10-15) I had a really enjoyable trip with a nice family from Birmingham, Alabama. Jesse and his wife Kalpana wanted to introduce their kids to fishing, and we had a productive trip with smiles all around.
Next week is the same style of fishing, and hopefully the bite will stay just as plentiful.
Stay tuned for another report in a week or two.
Tight Lines.
