Pensacola Sheepshead, Redfish Inshore Report

Capt. John Rivers
March 23, 2012
Pensacola - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's been windy and rainy the past few days, but when I was able to get out in between the rough weather the inshore bite was outstanding.
The sheepshead bite is still going strong in Pensacola Bay and Pass, and we are also catching quality redfish, black drum, and a variety of other species.
When the seas haven't been too choppy, I've been traveling just outside the pass off the beach and hooking up some fine fighting Spanish mackerel. I haven't seen any cobia or jacks yet off the beach, but I'm sure it won't be long and we'll get our chance to hook up on them too.

This weekend looks great with sunny skies and calmer winds in the forecast. Now that the rain and winds have died down it's time to get out off the couch and hook up on some fun fighting fish. Check back soon for more great Pensacola light tackle inshore charter action.

Till the next adventure, tight lines.
