Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

The last week turned out to be great fishing after a hard blow of wind the week before. We had great mid-afternoon tides that worked well with my charters. Fishing continues to improve as every type of fish are moving in from snook, redfish, trout, mangrove snapper, and the almighty tarpon. Dont forget the good old catfish :-) Suzie and Don met me for two half day charters with a great snook bite that tested their arm strength the first day along with three redfish

. The second trip was a late afternoon boating us a couple slot redfish big jack and a few nice snook. Suzie had a 29 inch and Don boated a slightly bigger 29 1/2 snook. I was lucky to have a day off with my Fiance and she kicked my butt catching 16 nice snook, 2 14" mangrove snapper and a 22" red. I boated only 8 snook and a catfish. Happy Birthday Honey. The big trout are still in and eating well. Krystina caught her biggest ever at 24 inches. The tarpon have moved in and they were swimming right up to the boat. We were only one for one with a est. 130 pounder.
Pine Island Sound Fishing Forecast:
