South winds help with a great tide

Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

South winds helped push the incoming tide above the prediction. Gary, Mike and Aaron met me at the dock after thier drive from West Palm beach at 10:30 A.M. and we headed out for a limit of trout. I knew I had my work cut out because Gary told me in a earlier phone conversation that trout were boring. " thats for you Gary :-)" he did'nt seem to upset after the rods were bending from trout up to 19 inches. We were two fish short of our limit after the first couple spots but I told the guys that we might pick up a couple while trying for reds and snook. It worked out for us today. After the south wind pushed enough water in, we headed back to Matlacha pass and shortly after, had a few snook and a red. Thanks for giving me a call guys, and Happy Birthday!!!!

Pine Island Sound Fishing Forecast:

The fish are on the move, Keep working different pot holes and shore lines with good grass. Our water continues to warm up and it won't be long and the heavier gear should be added to your trips. It's better to have and not need than to need and not have.
