Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today started out at 9 A.M. and a slow outgoing tide. the first couple spots left the guys with a couple underslot trout. Finally some nice trout wanting to eat. First nice fish of the day was a just under 20" trout followed by a 23. You have heard the old wise tale of eating bananas on the boat being bad luck but that wasnt the case for today. With the drag peeling out towards the trees i knew it was a good size snook. just three feet shy of the net the snook cut the line. It wasnt until the next stop that a 25 inch trout made it to the livewell. With a couple more snook taking a bait and time drawing near quiting time, the drag took off for a last minute fight. This time a 31 inch snook. Red fish was a no go for us today.
