No Trips, But A Short Update

Capt. Butch Rickey
December 11, 2010
Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

For The Week Ending 12/04/10

No trips this week. Things are dead into next year!

I did put in place another customer suggestion I had also been pondering, though. I bought a set of four Uniden GMR2875-2CK mobile radios. One per boat. They are state of the art, and have a 28 mile range, privacy codes, groups, and are submersible in up to 3 ft. of water for up to 30 minutes. I have them set up to automatically call everyone in the group, which will make it easy for everyone to stay in touch.

Fact is the whistles, although seemingly loud enough, don't work well for more than a couple hundred yards, and not that far if you're down wind trying to call someone upwind.

I also have Watersnake Motors building me a 30 pound thrust 5 speed motor on an 18 inch shaft platform. Will pick it up tomorrow. And, last. I put the mesh bottle holder and two mesh utility (tackle) bags on the Ultimate 12. The track system they use is pretty cool.

Let's go kayak fishing. It's a blast!

Target Species:

Redfish and trout
