Warmer water on the way

Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Anyone on the water the last couple days had to deal with early morning strong cool winds. As the sun came up and the clouds cleared and the winds layed down it got beautiful. We got on a good bight of small trout but nothing worth putting on the ruler. I decided to hit a few pot holes that I hadn't fished in awhile and right off the bat knew I had made the right decision. Every cast yelded a trout from 17 1/2 to 21 inches. The tide was on the rise and we headed for a shoreline where I have seen decent reds and snook. It was a little slow but the guys hung in there and boated some nice fish.

Pine Island Sound Fishing Forecast:

Our water temps are nearing prime fishing providing the quick cold fronts are held up north. The fishing will continue to get better and better. Be patient and dont be scared to hit a few of your old spots. The fish will be on the move to their spring and summer homes.
