Pompano fishing is hot!

Capt. Kyle Busby
August 14, 2017
Port Orange - Saltwater Fishing Report

Port Orange and the Halifax River had some really nice pompano show up this week. The best bite was about 2 hours before the high tide. Some of these pompano are measuring 16-18" to the fork. Small, live shrimp on an 1/8 oz. jig head should get em'.

Port Orange Fishing Forecast:

Snook fishing should really heat up this week as the tides are favorable. The pompano action should remain the same as long as we keep having good water quality.

Target Species:

Snook, Pompano
