Cobia are here!

Capt. John McDow
March 18, 2012
Port St. Joe - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather has been perfect and so has the fishing. Spanish, Bluefish, Reds, and Specks! Spanish and Bluefish are in the channels and near the mouth of the bay and the trout have been hitting anything and everything across the southern bay area from Presnell's to Pig Island. The Cobia were nice enough to show up in good numbers early this year. I haven't put one in the boat yet but they are around and I have talked to several people who have already hooked up. We will be seeing them around the bouys at the mouth of the bay and in the Mexico Beach area.
