Cobia at the snapper hole

Capt. Mark Rosen
March 22, 2018
Port St. Lucie - Saltwater Fishing Report

I made 3 trips out to the snapper hole, all three were excellent trips. The seas were flat, the water temperature was 74 degrees the water clarity wasn't very clear but it had been blowing for several days prior to the seas flattening out. I had a full boat each day 3 anglers and me. We were using cut squid and cut grunts on a standard triple hook chicken rig with 6 ounces of lead. The catches included lots of Lane snapper, vermilion snapper, trigger fish, Cobia, several large sharks, Black sea bass, and of course 100s of grunts. There were also a lot of spinner sharks. I also had a very large hammer head swim right alongside the boat.
