Port St. Lucie - Saltwater Fishing Report

I took a family of 5 out to the close reef. Sea forecast was 3 to 4 foot seas but with a long period. What we had was long period swells water temp was 82 degrees depth was 60 feet. Water clarity was poor around 8 feet. We caught 2 ribbon fish which was a first for me lots of grunts some very large for a grunt, lots of lane snappers. Several times we had something big on that bit off I am guessing it was a shark we were using cut squid, cut grunts, and shrimp for bait with a triple hook chicken rig 3/0 hooks 40 pound pink andy line
