Capt. Steve Poland
May 17, 2008
Port St. Lucie - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well it has been a while since my last report but for a good reason, i was in the keys tarpon fishing. Let me tell you the bite is on and i am going back real soon.

I went fishing at 300am this morning at the Roosevelt bridge and managed to catch 3-26 inch snook on swim baits in the baby bass pattern.

I also had 3 others to the boat but the leader broke. i guess that is what you get when do not retie after you catch a snook.

I fished til about 700am then called it a day.

until tomorrow good luck

capt. steve

Target Species:

More Fishing Reports:

Fishing in south florida since 1984. It mainly started out as bass fishing for fun then it got competitive. I took my fishing to the next level by competing in local tournaments which eventually turned into competing on a more professional level. After 10 years at that level i turned my attention to competing in professional saltwater tournaments such as the IFA, and FLW tours. During that time is when i decided to get my captains license and start to give back to my local community.
