Redfish are schooling up!

Capt. Gary Clark
September 28, 2009
Sanibel - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing report for the week ending 9/27/09 with lots of rain and cooler water the numbers of redfish are increasing, on the higher tides the larger fish are up on the grass flats in good numbers. There are good numbers of small snook in the bay around most islands where bait can be found. I am seeing signs of tarpon on the beaches with the large numbers of bait. Last year was a unusual year with a great run on tarpon in the fall. I think this year will be the same. There are good numbers of trout, mackeral, snappers and ladyfish on the grass anywhere bait can be found. Fall is my favorite time of year for topwater plug fishing for redfish, snook and trout, if you can avoid the grass floating theres nothing like it. Get out and fish!
