Sanibel - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather has started to turn the water warm and fish like it!. Sanibel and Captiva Islands will soon see migrating Tarpon visit the beaches and bay. Last Thursday I fished a half day before a late season cold front with my brother from Atlanta. We struggled to find a day that wasn't raining and settled on Thursday. As clouds approached we caught a few ladyfish for bait, and saw a couple blowups. I was hoping they were Tarpon.

10 minutes after deploying the first bait we were on!. 30 minutes, 5 jumps she was released.

Then we went for Redfish, releasing a nice 28" fish.

We had already caught Tarpon, Trout, and Redfish. Tried for snook, but the rain drove us back to the dock. Grand Slam next time. Great day !. Captain Dave. 239-410-7194
