Sanibel - Saltwater Fishing Report

With the hot weather and afternoon showers many anglers are choosing to stay home.
September is around the corner and so are the redfish.
This time of year with less boat traffic. I like to get up on the polling platform and work around sandbars, especially with the incoming tide.
I choose a soft plastic instead of live bait. I'm able to stay quiet and weed free.
1st light is always good, but temperature drops, and windy conditions around isolated storms, work well to get a strike from over the slot redfish. Long cast's with light lines and leaders make this type of fishing even more exciting.

See ya on the water!
