Sanibel Island fishing

Capt. Dave Andrews
December 13, 2010
Sanibel - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's been too long since my last report, so I try to cover the last 2 months. October and November were great months with schools of oversize redfish here all of October and most of November. Trout closed the first of December and I immediately started to catch Trout, some of them were 4 to 5 lbs. I try to release them without even bringing the fish in the boat. The picture just isn't worth seeing a big female 5lb trout get released to float away belly up.
December 2nd I had the pleasure to fish with Neil from Missouri. The scary part was waking up to 20 knot wind and a low of 42 deg. We went on to catch 20 trout, 3 reds to 22", 2 flounder and scores of ladyfish. a back creek was the ticket.
