Tarpon and more tarpon, they are everywhere, from Ft Myers beach south to Naples all of the beaches of Sanibel and north to Boca Grande , Pine Island Sound and Charlot Harbour. Take your pick and you can find tarpon and sharks.
Fish ranging from 60-80lb. Class and more this week ones in the 130-150lb. Drag screamers are showing up.

Memorial weekend was its normal caos with schools of fish being badgered by the boats. This week the fish have settled down and I am seeing schools of 50-75 fish working there way down the beaches.
The ever present sharks, Duskys, Blacktips and Hammerheads are right in with the Tarpon.
We have hooked 4 Hammerheads from 4-7 ft. in length which are always crowd pleasures.

While fishing with Scott and Blake Hartman on the beach we did have a 40 lb. Kingfish make a good run until he cut the Florocarbon leader. Scott got a fish around 145lbs. And Blake followed that up with a 85lb. Fish for there first tarpon.
I have heard of some permit reports on the calm days on nearshore wreaks but have not had a chance to do that yet.
I have been doing very few snook and redfish trips and believe they are getting a well needed break from the pressure.
I do have a couple of openings in the next few weeks get the Tarpon while they are hot! Tight Lines.
