Not Much Happening Right Now....

Capt. Sal Tardella
December 14, 2008
Sebastian - Saltwater Fishing Report

We haven't been doing any fishing for the past week. Some days have too much wind, some days we've had to deal with thunder storms, and some days have been just too cold! When water temps dip too low, there's not much action in the Indian River, and we've had a spate of mornings where the thermometer didn't get out of the 40's. The afternoons are generally much warmer, but by then the winds have come up.

Lots of excuses, it seems, but we don't believe in going out just to burn up fuel and waste time. And we're not alone in this decision; most of the local fishermen report that not too much has been happening here since the beginning of December. Of course, in Central Florida, the weather is always changing, so we're hopeful that we'll be able to try our luck in the River and the Inlet this week.
