Sebastian - Saltwater Fishing Report

On February 17th we had a charter with Dr. Steve Eliot of Weston CT and his friend, Ralph Sorley--a Chatham MA resident who lives in Palm Beach Gardens FL six months a year. Steve, an avid fisherman, considers himself to be a "My Bonnie" scout--and that's just what he is back north, with much of the intelligence he provides being quite valuable.
Steve and Ralph picked what seemed to be the coldest day of the year--with wind/chill factors running in the 40's in the morning and the temperature not getting much higher than 50 all day on the Indian River. However, undaunted by the weather, the twosome caught some nice bluefish up to six pounds, plus pompano, sea trout and jack crevelles.
As cold as it was out there, it was a lot warmer than what Steve flew back to last night, and the day trip was a great respite for cabin fever.
