Warmer weather, better fishing....

Capt. Sal Tardella

Sebastian - Saltwater Fishing Report

On Tuesday our friend, Jack Balme, and I did some scouting on the Indian River. We got some trout and about ten bluefish.

"My Bonnie" sailed at 10am Wednesday with David Oster and his son, David Jr.—New Jersey residents who are spending a few days here in Sebastian. The weather was ideal—with flat seas and temperatures in the 70's. We began working around the grassy flats and after three casts David Jr. brought in a nice trout, which was quickly released. Then his dad brought in an 18-incher. We then made our way towards the Inlet, where David Sr. brought in a 20-inch pompano, after which we moved further into the Inlet, where we found non-stop bluefish action.

All the keepers were taken back to the lodge for barbecue dinners for the rest of their stay here.
