October Fishing - The recent storm has given us some rougher waters and strong winds. Afternoon bite has been better than the morning-need to find the bait. Redfish & Snook have still been biting as long as you get the right tide.

SW FL-Bonita Beach: Inshore & Near-shore Report-Reds! - Redfish have been the best bet around here lately, with trips scarce overall, and with favorable bay tides trumping some sloppy conditions offshore. Monday morning, 9/23/13, I fished the backwaters of Estero Bay with Doug Duncan, Eric Bastion, and Ra more...

Hot red, trout and snook action Estero Bay-Matlacha - Guys: There are schooling reds on the incoming tides. The trout bite is on firew, upper slot specks 18-20 inches. We found snook, jacks and tarpon active in the feedercreks, a good time for fly fishers. 239-267-9312 or [email protected]

Fishing Can't be Hotter in Southwest Florida - A lot of clients ask me what is your favorite time of year to fish? And my answer is always the same, late September into October. There are a number of reasons I like fishing the 10,000 Islands in the fall, but probably the biggest reason is... more...

More Of The Same Which Is a VERY Good Thing - The fishing in Estero Bay remains VERY good! A lot of the same is still true this week, we found schools on the flats this week but any bait thrown in to the school produced only Jacks! Stick with the higher water patterns of fishing oysters and shor more...

Redfish in the backcountry, sharks in the Gulf - A mostly rain free week combined with decent tides made for great fishing on both Estero Bay and the Gulf waters. It looks like a return to some rain is in the forecast but it doesn't look like it will be the washout we had a couple of weeks ago.

Fall Fishing for Snook, Tarpon and Redfish in Naples Backwaters - September is winding down and while we have had a great month of fishing in the Naples area, I expect October to only get better. October and November are in my opinion, the two very best months to fish the backwaters of Southwest Florida. The sligh more...
