Stick Marsh & Farm 13

Capt. George Welcome
July 2, 2004
Stick Marsh-Farm 13 - Freshwater Fishing Report

Date fished: 7/2/04

Time fished: Daylight till 10:30 AM

Weather: Partly cloudy, calm winds, hot

Area fished: Stick Marsh

Baits used: Senkos, misc. plastics, buzz baits

Fish caught: 90+

Water Temps: 93

Air Temps: 90+

After our 3.5 hour excursion yesterday we had to go back to try again. Don

pleaded his case so we agreed to take him as long as he kept what we were doing

an absolute secret. We left the ramp at daybreak hoping for a day with no wind

and calm waters and we got exactly what we were hoping for.

Throughout the day Don did his usual mumbling and complaining about being

front boated but even though he won't remember it by this evening he did catch a

lot of fish. (somewhere over 30) Don is ruining his (World's worst fisherman)

reputation but he is grinning all the time he is doing it.

We worked in the Stick Marsh until 10:30 and headed back to the ramp with

over 90 bass to the boat and a fair amount missed. Again today I had the

misfortune of losing a lunker. When she launched out of the water to at least

three feet in the air she gave us a good enough look to know that she was well

over the ten pound mark.

See you on the water. July is going to be one of the best months

of the year. Say hi if you get the chance and give a call if you want to go

fishing.
