Stick Marsh & Farm 13

Capt. George Welcome
March 3, 2005
Stick Marsh-Farm 13 - Freshwater Fishing Report

Bill Stamper and Charlie Wright drove straight through from Witesburg,

Kentucky to the Marsh. Their late day appointment with me was to learn a bit

about safe navigation, some possible fishing spots, and suggested baits. On a

half day trip this leaves little time for fishing but we did get in a few casts.

We arrived at the last spot I wanted to show them and I suggested that Senkos

would probably be a winner bait. Bill was set up already so he let it fly. A

couple of cranks of the handle and Bill's reason for coming to Florida was

realized. This gal took 3 trips around the boat before coming in.

Every cast has potential out here. You don't know where, or when, just that

it can and does occur. However, if you are not here it can't happen.

Days left in March that you could get out with us and give it a try:

1 Boat: 12th, 13th, 15th,

17th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 29th, and 31st

2 boats: 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, and 26th

These dates are filling fast.

Fishing has been good to excellent with few exceptions due to weather. The

spawn is on the upswing and numbers as well as quality are getting better

daily. Oh, I forgot to say: Bill's fish is out there waiting for you.
