Bahamas Trip

Capt. Nick Cremasco
August 12, 2015
Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

Had a great time with good friends, despite the weather, on our 5 day trip to the Bahamas. We traveled to West End to clear so we could fish on our way to Nassau. However the weather had other plans and it was all we could do to get to Nassau in a timely fashion.

We had a great time at the Atlantis resort and left early to stop at Hole in the Wall on the way to Boat Harbor in the Abacos. We caught some Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna on the way to Hole in the Wall. When we got to the Southern tip of Abaco to Blue Marlin fish it was super rough so we only fished an hour and a 1/2 before leaving to run to Boat Harbor. We arrived in Boat Harbor and had a great time the next couple of days exploring and snorkeling before posting up at Guana Key and visisting the world famous Nippers for dinner.

We were going to fish the next day but the weather gods had other ideas so we ran on the inside to Green Turtle for lunch and some sight-seeing and then off to Grand Cay for an awesome conch and lobster dinner. Got up early on the 5th to go tuna fishing but again the rain gods and bird gods had other ideas. We ran into bottom fish and had a nice collection of snapper before the weather chased us home!
