Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello Fish Fans, the fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida has been good to excellent and we're catching Bkackfin Tuna Mahi-mahi Sailfish and Kingfish.

The dolphin / Mahi-mahi bite got off to a slow start this spring but we've had a good bite on most days. Most of the dolphin we're catching are 7 to 12 pounds with a few pushing 20. The winds have kept the weed lines from forming up so the dolphin have been scattered about just like the weeds.

The summer sailfish bite is off to a good start so June and especially July will produce double digit sailfish releases. The summer sailfish bite has out performed the winter bite for the last 3-4 years so take advantage of the calmer seas of summer and get you some.

The blackfin tuna bite been hit and miss but the ones we've been catching are all 15-25 pounds. It's almost time to start our yellowfin tuna trips. They'll start showing up in numbers this month and July is prime time for the yellowfin bite. It's about a 75 mile ride but when you get back on a pack of birds and the tuna are busting the water it's exciting as hell before you even put the lines out. The yellowfins are typically 35-75 pounds with an occasional yellowfin topping 100 pounds.
