Dolphin and Bottom Fishing Remain Strong

Capt. Nick Cremasco
November 19, 2014
Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

November 13:

Today we fished with guest from EVER Bank and their clients. We had a great 3/4 day of fishing on the big boat today while trolling for dolphin and sailfish. We did not see a sailfish today however the dolphin bite made up for it. We managed to keep 21 mahis to 15lbs and caught a skipjack tuna as well. Action started a little slow with only 6 fish in the first 4 hours but the last couple hours of the day was lock and load on the action.

November 14:

Today we had our CCA Charity trip and we enjoyed some decent fishing. Still did not see a sail today but we did manage a box of mahis and released 3 small cobia in the morning. We tried making some drops on the bottom but it was not very good. No big fish bites at all today.

November 15:

Today we fished with our regulars from Nettles Island for a bottom fishing charter near Tampa Florida. We had excellent action on the bottom. We did not catch anything giant but we had non stop action all day. We boxed a total of 64 fish and caught over a dozen different species of fish throughout the day. The biggest fish we caught were a 20lb Almaco Jack and a 16lb Cobia.

We caught Lane, Vermillion, Yellowtail, Mutton and Genuine Red Snapper as well a hybrid snapper that looked like a cross between a Genuine Red and a Silk Snapper.

November 16:

We had a great day of fishing with Rick and Joe today. We caught a pile of bottom fish as well as a dozen mahis to go along with the tasty snapper, Almaco jacks, and Triggerfish.

Action was non-stop all day again and we released 4 times what we kept. Included in the releases were 6 Genuine Red Snapper and a undersized Cobia.

We sell action so give us a call to book your fishing charter in Stuart Florida.

We gave it a shot today despite the inclement conditions this morning. As it turned out we probably should have stayed home but you never know till you go. We fished for a 1/2 hour before throwing in the towel.
