First Wahoo, Swordfish Combo Trip of the Summer

Capt. Nick Cremasco
August 13, 2014
Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

July 31:

Today we fished with John Villa and his family for a fun day of fishing before the weather got bad. We caught a variety of nice size snapper a cobia and a mahi. Calm seas, bent rods and big smiles on a Stuart Fl fishing charter.

August 8:

Today we fished with Josh and his family. We left early and did some high speed trolling for wahoo but had no bites. We switched gears and battled bad weather and tremendous current all day. We caught some rudder fish, sea bass, sharks, bonito and blue runners on our Stuart Charter for fishing.

August 9:

Today we took Zane and his friends Eckley and Deglan Carmody fishing in the Stuart Sailfish Club Jr. Angler Tournament. We had tough fishing but we had a great time. The kids caught trigger fish, sea bass, bonito, barracuda and sharks.

We didn't win anything but a bunch of smiles. Till next year...

August 11:

We fished our first wahoo/swordfish fishing charter of the summer season last night. We started the evening high speed trolling for wahoo and had a couple of bites but luck was not in our favor. We pulled a fish off about 30ft from the boat and we broke a main line on a fish as well. We got chased into Sailfish Marina in Palm Beach by weather and didn't start swordfishing till 11pm. We had an excellent night of fishing for swordfish. We had 3 bites and ended up catching all 3 fish. We released a small fish that was undersized and killed a fish around 70 and 100lbs. A great night for all involved.
