Fished a morning 1/2 day and caught 4-7 mahis and a dozen nice size lanes before packing it in for the day.

February 17, PM:
Took Mandy and Zane for a couple hours after our morning charter. Hoping to catch some dinner on the bottom. Mandy and Zane didn't disappoint catching snapper, sea bass, grouper and triggerfish.

After we had enough for the nights dinner and some tired arms from releasing many more fish we went and played with the the jewfish and the sharks for a little bit before heading home.

February 16:

Fished our full day split charter today with regular customer Marshall S and newbies Paul, John and Steve. Ran back to where we fished yesterday but conditions had changed. We did catch a small wahoo but with only 1 bite by 9:30 we made a 8 mile wiggle to the north. Got in radio range of a few boats fishing an edge that sounded identical to yesterday's condition. We were a little late to the party but caught 8 out of 15 or so mahi bites and kept 6. At 12;30 we decided to go bottom fishing and we kept 38 snapper 2 short of our limit. We kept mutton mangrove lane and vermillion snapper. Also kept some porgies trigger fish and sea bass. We released a ton of undersized fish and also a dozen genuine red snapper and 2 red grouper.

Beautiful weather and great fishing.

February 15:

33 MAHIS TODAY, GROUPER, SNAPPER, JACKS

Had a great day of fishing with regulars Rick, Dave and Jeff. We started the day inshore looking around with minimal action and at 9am started trolling on a edge in 240ft. We started quickly with the guys catching a 8 banger of mahis with 3 gaffers and 5 lifters. From 9:30 to 1 we picked away at the mahis keeping 2 shy of our 30 fish limit. The biggest fish was 19lbs. After getting our fill of mahis he guys wanted to pull on some bigger stuff so we went bottom fishing and caught some nice size Genuine Reds, a nice Black Grouper and a tasty size Jewfish around 35lbs. We also released 5 jacks.
