BIG Spring Dolphin (mahi-mahi) off Stuart, FL

Capt. Nick Cremasco
May 13, 2013
Stuart - Saltwater Fishing Report

May 9:

We just returned from a multi-day Bahamas trip with our allotted limit of Pelagic and Bottom fish. We had a great two day trip catching 7 Yellowfin Tuna from 25-85lbs, 5 Dolphin from 20-45lbs, 6 Blackfin that had an average weight of 10lbs. We also caught 13 Yellow Eye Snapper that averaged 5lbs and 7 Grouper from 10-25lbs.

It was great weather and great charter fishing.

May 10:

Today our Stuart fishing charter was for dolphin, Grouper and cobia. Unfortunately the bottom bite has still not recovered from last week's ground swell but any day it's gonna break loose. The trolling was a little on the slow side compared to a few days ago but the size of the fish did not disappoint. We ended up catching a couple bonito, 2 mahi to 50lbs and we released a sail.
