The Bite is Getting Right In Tampa Bay

Capt. John Rivers
October 5, 2017
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tampa Bay Charter Inshore Fishing Report:
Oct 3rd
October is known for many things, cooler temps up north and usually here as well, pumpkin spice on the menu, and of course, lots of Redfish!!
October is a great month to target redfish and snook. The water gets cooler, making them feed more and the bait is very plentiful; it's a win-win for everyone.

I've been out a few times over the past week and the fishing has been outstanding. Lots of slot reds, with a few over-slot mixed in. The snook are chewing the baits off the hooks and some are getting the best of us by taking us in the mangroves or rocks, but it's still a blast seeing them slam our offerings.

Now that the weather is a lot more bearable, with cooler temps and less humidity, it's time to start planning a fall fishing trip.
I've been guiding 15 years and promise you a professional trip with rods bending and smiles all around.
Take a look around my site and if I'm what you're looking for in a light tackle Tampa Bay Fishing Guide, then give me a shout or send me an email.
Have a great day,
Capt. John Rivers
