Break Through The Weather In Tampa Bay!

Capt. TJ Stewart
February 7, 2014
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tampa Bay has been cold! Cold weather swept through the area, but thankfully, it didn't shut fishing down. However, it did change how you have to catch them. It certainly makes for tougher fishing, but it doesn't make it impossible to catch fish. On really cold days, we are still able to catch fish in the River.

If it weren't for Mirrolure, fishing in cold weather would not be good. Mirrolure's hard and soft baits are almost as good as live bait. At certain times of year, they are even better than live bait. When the water temperature gets below 60 degrees, fish want either shrimp or a lure. They will not chase live bait when they are cold.
