Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Snapper is what's for dinner in Tampa Bay! The snapper and redfish bite has been great lately. We haven't had any trouble catching our limit of snapper, which are pretty darn tasty. The redfish have been a little more work, but only because the fish are over sized. Not too many people get upset about catching fish too big to keep.

The snook bite has been pretty good too. There are a lot of small snook, which is really good to see. We have also caught a few big snook and released them. It appears that the snook are coming back really well.

We have still been catching tarpon over the past few weeks, and some really big ones at that. Normally a 120 pound tarpon is considered big this time of year, but we are catching a 150 pounders this year. The silver kings should remain in the Tampa Bay area for the next few weeks.
