Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

This impending cold front slowed the bite down a bit early but after the tide got moving it really picked up. We had a good trout day with most caught on artificial lures worked slowly along the bottom. We drift fished several flats in 2-5 feet of water and caught 20-25 spotted sea trout and 10 or so silver trout and two mackerel. It's hard to believe the mackerel are still prowling the flats. Someone reported to me they've been catching kingfish off shore.
