Cooler weather with a Strong Bite

Capt. Trajan Rodriguez
December 14, 2018
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

This is a great time of year to fish! The fish are congregated together and staying warm. With winter around the corner, they are getting filled up before it hits!

Snook will be stacked in the creek and river mouths. The trout will be in the creeks as well. Look for bigger trout to be mixed in with the redfish around the mullet schools.

The inshore gag grouper bite has been excellent making for some good table fare.

I have some openings next couple weeks, lets go fishing!

Captain Trajan "Trey" Rodriguez was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. He has been fishing the inshore waters of Tampa Bay for 10 years now. Captain Trey started bass fishing ponds around his house every day after school, but once he caught his first snook, it has been a story ever since. Captain Trey primarily targets snook, redfish, trout, and tarpon. As a full time student at the University of Florida, Captain Trey runs charters in the summer and on his breaks from school.
