Fly Fishing for tarpon Tampa Bay,Sarasota has been the main focus the past month. We have had a great season so far despite the unsettled weather. Multiple hook ups were the norm on each tarpon fly fishing trip.Tampa fly fishing for tarpon should continue through July. Then It might actually be time to pull out a 9wt fly rod for dare I say it.. redfish. Actually I love catching redfish on fly. The dog days of summer can offer some great tailing redfish action. Also look into taking a night time fly fishing trip for snook trout, and redfish. Night time fly fishing is a great way to beat the heat and make short casts to hungry fish.
