Gandy Fishing Report

Capt. Mark Magni
March 6, 2014
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Snook season open March 1st with a so so bite, A few slot fish landed on shrimp, but most were small 16 to 18 inch range. Be genital with them and get them back in the water quickly.

Cut bait seemed to be the ticket for Redfish this week. Small schools of 3 to 10 fish each were roaming the flats with lock jaw. An assorted varieties of artificial bait were used with very little results.

Sheepshead and a few Pompano were landed around the Gandy Bridge on Fiddler Crabs.
If you want to have some fun and keep the rods bent, Some good size Jacks and Ladyfish are all over the Bay.

Look for the white bait to move into the bay along with some Hot Spring Action.
