Getting More Like Fall Time Fishing in Tampa Bay Every Day!

Capt. TJ Stewart
October 15, 2012
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

It is feeling more and more like fall in Tampa Bay! We have had a few cold fronts recently that have brought the temperature down a bit and brought welcome changes to fishing. The cooler weather bring s with it great fishing. Just about any kind of fish you want to catch can be caught in the fall.

Snook, redfish, and trout fishing have been great lately. We have also been catching snapper, flounder, mackerel, bluefish, and jacks while fishing on the flats. Fishing in one area can produce great action this time of year.

Although we haven't put much time into tarpon fishing lately, we have still been catching a few
while fishing for grouper or snapper. It is a great surprise when you are fishing for grouper or snapper and end up with a tarpon on the end of your line. We have also been catching a few sharks as well. Not knowing what is going to hit your bait next is always fun.

King fish are here. They have recently showed up just off the beaches. The great thing about catching these great fish this time of year is that you don't have to run way offshore to catch them. Please visit www.castawaychartersinc.com and book your trip today!
