Great weather and Santa comes early

Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tampa Fishing Charters website just got a face lift at www.tampaflatsfishingcharter.com. Check it out for the latest info on Tampa fishing. I also have gift certificates that make great Christmas gifts.
The weather has stabilized again and temps are almost summer like. The fish tend to move around between fronts and you have to adjust your game plan. When it's colder think deeper water, protected areas, canals, rivers and creeks. During warming trends fish high water in the afternoon when water temps are at their warmest.

There are still some big bull redfish on the gulf edge as well as a couple spots inside the bay. These fish are very aggressive and eat flies extremely well. I also like to use Zman paddlerz in redbone or pearl.

Big snook have moved into the rivers and some real monsters are being caught right now. Live pilchards will do the trick but big live shrimp work really well this time of year. Remember to handle these big fish carefully, and always support them with two hands.

Big trout have invaded the creeks and canals. They are tight to the bottom so a slow presentation is best. There are lots of trout on deeper grass flats but you will have to weed through the ladyfish to get to them. Slow the presentation down and use soft plastics. Popping corks can be magic on the right day.

I have availability right now and you can reach me at 305-340-9863 or email me at http://tampaflatsfishingcharter.com/contact-tampa-fishing-charters/. Merry Christmas and tight lines in the New Year.
