Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather is hot and the fish are biting in Tampa Bay. Snook, redfish, trout, snapper, tarpon, and sharks are all biting and biting good.

Fishing has been great lately. We have been able to get on a really good bite with many different species of fish. Yes, we might have to move around three or four times to find the right area to fish, but we always seem to catch fish. Many times we end up catching fish that we were not targeting while trying out different areas. For example, we've been catching a lot of snapper and trout while fishing for redfish.

Bigger schools of redfish are making their way to the area, which is usual for this time of year. More snook are on the flats in the areas where smaller schools of redfish were. Although you can't keep snook, they are still great fun to catch on light tackle.

Tarpon and shark fishing hasn't changed much over the week, and should remain good for quite awhile. Please visit www.castawaychartersinc.com and book your trip today!
