Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report
Reel Till U Feel Tampa Bay Fishing Report. 12/1/15
November will go down in history as one of the warmest on record.
December marks the closing of Snook harvest along with a December 3rd Gag Grouper closing. The Gag bite along the shipping channel picked up a bit when the water temp dropped. Most were in the 19 to 22 inch range.
The Trout bite has been consistent with most in the 15 to 19 inch range.
Snook and Redfish have remain on a feeding frenzy, Snook hitting white bait and small Pinfish, with the Redfish eating cut bait along with Greenbacks.
Some hard hitting Blue Fish and Jack Crevalle have been roaming the flats tearing up the schools of bait, along with some larger Ladyfish.
As the water temp drops the Sheepshead and Black Sea Bass will turn on the dinner bell. The Sea Bass is an under rated fish to target. Pound for pound it's a hard hitting fish along with one of the best tasting fish that comes out of the bay along with the taste of Sheepshead, just harder to clean.
You can't catch a fish unless you have a line in the water so get out and enjoy the weather and have some fun
