Reliable Redfish

Capt. Dustin Hilliard
September 22, 2015
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

The redfish bite has been consistent on high to high outgoing tides in and around mangroves, oyster bars and some on the beaches. The redfish can be found hanging around schools of mullet. The baits of choice are white bait, shrimp and 1/4 ounce jig heads shrimp pattern.

Look for the snook to continue eating well on the beaches for the next few weeks before they start their migratory move into the backcountry and river estuaries for the winter. Snook in the 24 to 30 inch range have been common.
