Tampa Bay Fishing Report

Capt. TJ Stewart
January 4, 2007
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

A little harder!

Here we go it has been a crazy week. We have not had a chance to do a w hole lot of fishing! Well that is with a rod and reel this past week but I have not missed a day on the water we have just been doing Mullet fishing. This time of the year I do a lot of cast netting for Mullet. This is usually because the weather is colder and these fish school up in very large schools moving out of the bays and off the beaches to spawn. This is where they go lay their eggs. The weather is not as cold as it should be this time of the year. I think this is the warmest weather I ever remember for this time of the year. But the fish have still been doing their thing. So we have been doing a lot of this type fo fishing and doing ok at it as you can see in the picture! This is a lot of fun but more work then you think. I will be back at the rod and reel fishing this next week and I think it’s going to be a great week but then again there is no bad day on the water!
