Snook And Turkey Sandwhiches!

Capt. Sean Hagen
December 3, 2008
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Just the other day I got a call from my good

buddy Capt. Lori Deaton of Lady Fish Charters.

Capt. Lori asked if I had a charter in the a.m..

When I told her I was wide open she asked if

my financee, Ashton and I might want to do some

snookin' up river.

Only after leaving the SkyWay with the the live

well darker than a lunar eclipse ,did we head

east towards the Little Manatee River.

Once up the river it didn't take long to locate

fish, and it took less time to realize who was

going to catch them all. Ashton often mates on

my boat and spends alot of time baiting hooks

and dropping anchor, but seldom gets to fish.

However, this day she did get to fish and fish

she did.

Ashton managed to land some nice snook free-

linig live sardines under the mangroves. A

nameless cut just north of Devil's Elbow proved

to be the hot spot of the day and it was here

that Ashton boated her slam.

Black Point also gave up a nice snook. However,

the water closer to the mouth of the river was

noticeably clearer. I beleieve this contributed

to the fish being a 'lil spookier. Not to mention

the water temperature may have been a few degrees

cooler on the bay side of the river (probably

under the 60 degree mark which is border line

lockjaw for snook)

After a good day of fishing, our bellies

full of beer, and Capt. Lori's awesome turkey

sandwhiches we called it a day.

If you would like to book a trip with

Capt. Lori of Lady Fish Charters she would

be happy to put you on the fish! To contact

Lori call 813-967-5032

Till next time , have a safe and quality day on

the water. Capt. Sean
