Springtime Bite in The Gulf of America

Capt. Pedro Borrego
March 4, 2026
Tampa Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

Spring is by far my favorite time of the year to fish. Weather is normally good and the bite is great in March. Red grouper will continue to stay open along with varieties of snapper and as we get closer to April King mackerel, Spanish mackerel and blackfin tuna will start to show up. We also see plenty of blacktip sharks, bull sharks and hammerheads which will be on the prowl for an easy dinner.

Give us a call and let's go catching!!!

Tight Lines,
Capt. Pete Borrego
